It had been a rather long night that night, the sounds and creaks throughout his house keeping him alert and, as much as he would hate to admit it, fear. It was darker than usual that night, the moon gone from the sky and the stars only doing so much as they could with light. Xionis always wondered why the dark was such a scary thing to him. He was supposed to be man, be the one who would hold the girl if she were to cry at night from fear of the dark or whatever it might be.

But no. He was the one sleepless every night the moon didn't shine bright enough to give light to his room through his window. As a matter of fact, the idea was downright embarrassing.

Slowing waking the next morning from getting broken sleep of about fifteen minutes a piece through out the night, his temper and irritation were easy to flare. Though his thoughts wandered on his own behavior and his self analysis began. Xionis hated the way he couldn't sleep. He needed to find something that would just knock him out and get rid of his anxiety...

But there had to be a reason for it... Yet he couldn't quite place the event that could have been the reason.

O7O Okay, just a random idea that popped into my head one day and I illustrated. I used it a lot for lighting practice. I'm not quite satisfied with the end result, but I think I could fix it later. I think I need to add darker tones to the shading and what not. xD

Anyway... Hope you enjoy!
